Lindon Bennett School

Grasshoppers

This term we had a lot of celebrations Days. Our topics this term have been ‘Growth in us’ and ‘Growth in animals’.

We explored a range of different activities to learn how are we grown and how plants growing and what we need to grow and to be healthy. We took photos to record our growth, we planted seeds and we were exploring baby animals. Children have participated in numerous activities around these topics. Grasshopper’s class enjoyed our trip to the park and to see the ducklings.

This term we celebrated World Book Day, Mother’s Day and Red Nose Day. The children were wearing fantastic costumes. They enjoyed having mums in to visit for the Mother’s Day stay and play and enjoyed participating in many creative activities during the special events.

We continue to work on self-help skills such as putting on coat and shoes, trying different types of food to help extend diet and to build attention by rewarding the positive choices that children make.

On the last week of term we were participating in Easter activities. We enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and an Easter bonnet parade. The children were really excited to collect eggs and playing alongside others.

Next term we will be exploring animals, their habitats and the sounds they make. The children will have an opportunity to name different animals and notice similarities and differences between them. We are also planning a trip to TVAP in Taplow. We can’t wait to observe all our children learning and developing again next term!

Have a lovely Easter break.
