Lindon Bennett School

PE

Physical Education is very important in the life of all children at Lindon Bennett School. We believe that having fun and being active is essential to all children’s health and well-being. Children have one specialist PE lesson each week, and are also provided with many other opportunities to be physically active during their school day.

Throughout the year, children experience and develop a range of fundamental movement skills that will improve their:

  • Locomotion: movement from one point to another
  • Stability: body balance in static and dynamic situations
  • Object control: sending and receiving a variety of different objects

Our aim is for all children to gain confidence, develop their wider abilities, and to create healthy attitude which motivates them to participate in physical activity, to the best of their ability, throughout their life.

It is essential that all children wear a PE kit when taking part in their lessons, as per Lindon Bennett’s PE Policy. Please ensure that your child is provided with a suitable change of clothes that will be kept at school and sent home half-termly to be washed. It should consist of the following:

  • Navy Blue or Black tracksuit bottoms or shorts
  • Plain white T-shirt or polo T-shirt
  • Sports trainers or plimsolls

Thank you, in advance, for your support in ensuring child is well equipped for PE lessons.
