Absence procedure
If your child is unwell and cannot attend school, please ring the school on their first day of absence before 9.15am to inform us as to why your child is not attending school.
The telephone number is 0208 898 0479 and there is an answerphone for when nobody is available to answer the phone.
On your child’s return to school please send a letter or write a note in your child’s Home-School book to give the reason for their absence.
As part of our safeguarding procedures, if your child is not in school and you have not notified us, then we will telephone you to ask why your child is absent.
If your child is due to have a medical appointment which cannot be made outside of school hours, then please inform the school in advance. This can be done in the child’s home-school book or by letter.
Holidays should not be booked during term time. Absence will not normally be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances, which must be put in writing to the Head teacher.
