Badgers

In Badgers we have enjoyed taking part in a range of activities exploring the topic ‘The Sea’.

We have been reading stories including ‘The Rainbow Fish’ and ‘The Colour Monster’, working on identifying key words from the story with the support of props and working on sequencing short stories and songs.

Badgers class have enjoyed several trips to the allotment this term. We have explored the plant’s life cycle and cared for our plot weekly. The children especially enjoy helping to water all of the plants.  We have also thoroughly enjoyed trips to the local shop to buy ingredients for our cooking sessions.

In Maths, we have been learning about shapes; labelling and sorting 2D shapes as well as choosing desired puzzles to complete. We have also been learning about space and measurements, sorting objects depending on their size; learning to sort ‘big’ and ‘small’ objects.
