Music
In music this half term, we are performing the story of ‘A Cat Called Scratch’ by Jonathon Long, accompanied with music written by Paul Rissman. This musical story involves vocalising, movements, tuned instrumental activities, percussion and different tempi. The pupils will learn to understand the difference between high and low notes, fast and slow and stop and start. There are opportunities for the pupils to express different emotions and compose their own music as well as following the story using sensory props.
Our early years and Key Stage one pupils are also learning about instruments through play, exploring a range of classroom instruments in a free play environment.
